10 MCU Characters Killed Off Way Too Early

As the character himself rightly says: "you didn't see that coming..."

Along with his twin sister, Wanda, Pietro Maximoff is part of an experiment conducted by Hydra that they dub 'The Age of Miracles'. They later become pawns of Ultron, the mad robotic creation of Tony Stark and Bruce Banner, but eventually switch sides upon learning of their master's apocalyptic plan.

As Ultron prepares to drop the floating country of Sokovia down on the Earth, Quicksilver makes a literal last dash to rescue the remaining civilians, getting riddled with bullets from the stolen Avengers Quinjet and collapsing to the ground, dead.

In a comic book movie, there's a general assumption that the good guys are immune to dying. With this in mind, Pietro's death comes out of nowhere, and leaves the viewer wondering what might have been if he'd been allowed to live for at least one more movie - especially given how prominent an Avenger he was in the comics.
