10 MCU Concept Art Designs Better Than What We Got

1. Ant-Man's Comics-Accurate Suit

Ant-Man was close enough to the comic books to be classed as a fan pleaser, but there were deviations here and there, the suit design being one of them.

That almost wasn't the case as first-pass concept designs released on social media by Marvel Studios artist Andy Park confirm that Paul Rudd could have worn a near-identical suit to Scott Lang's comic book getup.

The helmet Ant-Man wears in the movies covers his entire head, but this one leaves his mouth exposed and his eyes visible though translucent glass. Marvel moved away from this direction after concluding that the suit is supposed to be about containment, something it wouldn't be very good at with an exposed mouthpiece.

The naysayers would probably have been all over this plothole had Rudd worn this suit on screen, but it would have been nice to see the comics adapted warts and all.
