10 MCU Deleted Scenes That Should've Stayed In Their Movies

3. A Brothers Bond (Thor)

The Scene: After Thor runs through his shtick of taking a drink then throwing his cup down on the floor, Thor and Loki are introduced as adults, sharing some heartfelt words and partaking in a spot of playful brotherly teasing. Oh, and Loki turns a cup of wine into a cup of snakes. As you do.

Why It Should've Stayed: This scene is great for many reasons, not least of which being that it truly convinces you Loki does love Thor as a brother, something that Thor, as the movie currently stands, does not make clear.

And this is important to know, because when Loki sacrifices himself to save his brother in Thor: The Dark World, you'd understand why he's doing it. Watching that sequel without seeing this deleted scene makes Loki's sudden heroic act feel completely random and out of character, because we never really see him show any affection toward Thor up to this point.

Plus, by getting to spend more happy time with the two Asgardians before the film's events take a darker turn, Loki's betrayal of Odin, and his vendetta in the Avengers, would be all the more impactful.
