10 MCU Fates Worse Than Death

Doctor Strange is one of those characters who always works best playing off other Marvel heroes. While his first solo movie was an impressive outing for Benedict Cumberbatch, he always seems much more engaging when interacting with other Avengers like in Thor: Ragnarok and Infinity War. However, the fate of Kaecilius in his own movie ended up being much more thought-provoking than many would have thought.

After killing the Ancient One, stealing pages from magical texts, and bringing Dormammu into the world, does our villain pay the ultimate price? Well, yes and no. Make no mistake, we do see Kaecilius fading into dust in a scene that seems to anticipate Avengers Infinity War, but the subtext behind the disintegration seems like a bit more than just oblivion.

When striking up a bargain with Dormammu, Strange drives the dark dimensional being away, leaving Kaecilius and his followers to join him in the Dark Dimension. While Kaecilius fought tooth and nail trying to bring this type of darkness to Earth, it would probably make for a horrible situation if he is trapped in the Dark Dimension with Dormammu, who is probably not too happy with being sent away from Earth.

Death at the hands of Stephen Strange may have been fine, but the idea of Dormammu finding every which way to torture you in the Dark Dimension sounds far less enjoyable.
