7. Gamora

As Thanos’ favourite daughter, hand-picked from Zen-Whoberi by the Mad Titan, Gamora grew up with a strong influence of villainy. She was a part of her father's plans to decimate half of the universe, she was to help him procure the Infinity Stones, and she was trained to be a master assassin he could use to his own means.

This was Gamora’s life for years, and while she had no choice in having Thanos as her father, she still earned herself a reputation across the galaxy as his lackey and one of the most sadistic killers there was. However, under all this, she always wanted to get out.

Meeting Peter Quill and the rest of the Guardians gave her the platform she needed to escape, and the support she needed to keep the Orb out of Thanos’ hands. Even after this, she went on to save the galaxy once again from Ego and his Expansion.

Thanos eventually caught up and sacrificed his favourite daughter for the Soul Stone, but even 2014 Gamora was quickly convinced to fight against her father in the Battle of Earth. Her whereabouts now are unconfirmed, but no matter what she is doing, nothing can be taken away from the original Gamora’s redemption story.
