10 MCU Heroes Who Started Out As Villains

Most heroes in the MCU have done at least something a little nefarious, or something you wouldn’t quite expect from an Avenger or a Guardian of the Galaxy. Most of these can be glossed over and are generally forgotten by people, but with Valkyrie it’s more difficult.

She lived on Sakaar, which was clearly a difficult place to survive, and while she did what she needed to do, she was a literal slave trader. She took Thor against his will and sold him into the Grandmaster’s service, knowing full well that he would be forced to fight potentially to the death.

Even in spite of being Asgardian, and having seen first-hand what Hela was capable of, she was happy to let Thor rot on the other side of the galaxy with her. Ultimately however, after a LOT of persuasion, she eventually joined the Revengers and returned home to fight.

She took to the battlefield once again to help defeat Thanos and his forces, and if the trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder is anything to go by, she has led Asgard to prosper in a stronger way than Thor could ever have dreamed of.
