10. David Letterman - Spider-Man: Homecoming

Given the fact that he appeared in an Avengers comic (Avengers #239 from January 1984), you'd think that late night talk show royalty David Letterman would be enthusiastic about also appearing on the big screen in the MCU.

He'd appeared on the pages of the Avengers when Wonder Man (Simon Williams) was booked on his show and the hero insisted on bringing some of his fellow Avengers with him. It was far from the strangest thing to ever happen to the super-team - even when Letterman ended up foiling a villainous plot to kill them by Fabian Stankiewicz with the quick-thought application of a giant novelty doorknob...

Sadly, when Letterman was offered a cameo as a street vendor in Spider-Man: Homecoming, he killed the chance of us seeing similar shenanigans when he quickly passed due to a complete lack of interest. Ouch.
