10 MCU Movie Cameos That Almost Happened

9. David Bowie - Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2

There have been some fairly notable musician cameos in the MCU already. Iron Man saw Rage Against The Machine's Tom Morello play a Ten Rings terrorist, Iron Man 2 saw an appearance by DJ AM and Rob Zombie lent his voice to Guardians Of The Galaxy.

But they would have paled into insignficance if a planned cameo by David Bowie had come off.

For the Guardians sequel, both Kevin Feige and James Gunn were interested in having the rock legend cameo as part of Sylvester Stallone's original Ravagers team, to appear at Yondu's funeral. Sadly, his untimely death in 2016 prevented that from happening.

Instead, Miley Cyrus appeared - in voice only - as Mainframe.
