After taking over from Edward Norton, Mark Ruffalo's Hulk has gone on to become one of the MCU's most beloved characters.

With a journey spanning from his self-imposed exile in The Avengers to the hero of Avengers: Endgame, Bruce Banner has had a particularly satisfying story arc which, according to Feige, was mainly due to Ruffalo himself.

When asked about the extent of his involvement, Feige confirmed that early on in the role he attended a meeting with Marvel Studio executives to pitch his ideas for Bruce Banner's future.

Many of formed the basis of Hulk's characterisation during Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.

Feige also hinted at the characters return in the MCU's future, stating that some of Ruffalo's ideas "would still be cool to see someday".
