10 Michael Keaton Movies You've Never Even Heard Of

2. A Shot At Glory

What is it?: A football movie with a difference, this featured... erm, actual footballers doing the acting. This little movie that could featured the story of Kilnockie, a fictional Scottish football club that battled against the forces of capitalism, who wanted to shift the team's base of operations from their home to the far less local proposition of Dublin. Those pesky American owners no doubt thought anywhere Celtic would be sufficient for the errant tartan-sporters, damn their hamburger-eating hides! The role of private enterprise prince of darkness Peter Cameron was of course filled by Keaton. It was left to Robert Duvall and Ally McCoist to carry the film. Duvall we were accustomed to seeing at the top of the bill, though casting him as a coach from a Scottish fishing village didn't make a whole lot of sense. Goal scorer McCoist had his major acting debut in the production and it's safe to say he hasn't gone on to storm the box office since. A Shot At Glory took three years to come out onto the cinematic pitch, a sure sign it may have been an own goal for the filmmakers.
