10 Mind-Blowing Facts You Didn't Know About Captain Jack Sparrow
4. He Is The Most Dangerous But Least Intimidating Pirate Across The Seven Seas
Captain Jack Sparrow has crossed blades with a lot of terrifying villains throughout his life and has defeated every single one of them.
Captain Barbossa was initially an evil cursed pirate that turns into a rotten corpse when illuminated by moonlight. Davy Jones is a cruel undead pirate sporting actual tentacles for a beard, and his idea for a pet is a giant Cephalopod called “The Kraken” which can devour entire ships.
With that being said, Jack Sparrow, equipped only with his weirdness and drunkenness, has nothing on these two when it comes to the power of intimidation. Aside from the fact that he is good with a sword, sharp-witted, and has vocabulary for days, Jack is not that threatening to anyone at all. We rarely even see him kill people in his scenes, unlike other characters.
This is interesting considering that the franchise is filled with tons of sword fights and gunfights both on land and at sea. But what many don't realize is that this is the exact reason that makes Captain Jack Sparrow a dangerous foe. The assumption that Jack wouldn't pose a threat because he’s weird and constantly drunk, is a mistake that almost everyone makes whenever facing Jack Sparrow.
