10 Mind-Blowing Film Rumours That Turned Out To Be Fake

9. Robin To Appear In Batman V. Superman

Late last year, Latino Review were reporting from a "very trusted source" that Warner Bros. casting directors were looking for a "young John Hawkes-type" to play a character in Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice. The description given was for a male in his early 20s, and sounded suspiciously like it could belong to an older Dick Grayson. Fan speculation went into overdrive at the thought of this, as the knowledge that Ben Affleck's Batman would be tired and world-weary suggested that he had a long past of crime-fighting, one that possibly included a young sidekick whom he hadn't spoken to in years. It even got to the point where Daniel Radcliffe was telling Buzzfeed that he'd love to play Robin in the new movie, given the opportunity, which only added fuel to the flames. Almost a year later, and there's still no sign of Dick Grayson being cast, even as the cameras are rolling on BvS. There are likely still a few surprise announcements to come, but Dawn Of Justice is already too stuffed with capes and cowls to possibly fit a Boy Wonder in as well, surely? Besides, red and yellow doesn't really go with Snyder's favoured shades of gray.
