Given the huge amount of Alien and Predator crossover comics, there’s something bizarrely fulfilling about one that features both extraterrestrial nightmares right next to DC’s two most famous heroes.
It also helps that the comic is one of the wildest rides the medium has illustrated this side of 2000, as there are roughly half a dozen parts that have to be seen to be believed.
It involves the single most interesting plot of this type of comic – that the hero duo want to help the aliens go home - and the single funniest interaction between the Predators and the superheroes in that, after a fight, the extraterrestrials seem to adore them.
It’s not a perfect story by any means, but where else are you going to see Batman have to be an awkward emissary between a bunch of Predators and their new ‘friendly animalistic deity’? Not even in the deepest depths of fan-fiction.
