Okay, cool story bro. But, wait, who told this guy about Krypton? As far as Im aware, no human actually knew anything concrete about Supermans origins except Lois Lane (courtesy of Mr Exposition Jor-El). Even if the army did know what Krypton was, this one soldier certainly wouldnt have recognised that Zod was terraforming. I'm not really buying the idea that he has been educated sufficiently to recognise the process by which an alien race might achieve this task. I thought this guy was just an expendable army guy. Oh no, hes so much more than that. Hes an expendable extra, who will provide the audience with important information about the plot and then never be seen again. Who cares if he, himself, shouldnt have any understanding of the information hes giving us. This is Hollywood remember.
