10 Mistakes Fanboys Won’t Admit Upcoming DC Movies Have Already Made

9. Keeping Faith In Superman

Say what you want about Man Of Steel€™s mistakes, it wasn€™t actually a terrible movie. Yes, it was stupidly written, and it had LOTS of problems, but the problem wasn€™t anything to do with the brand power of Superman. The problem though, is that Superman isn€™t the hero Warner Bros and DC need or want. He doesn€™t fit the vision built in the Dark Knight trilogy, and no amount of adding grit will change that. There can be no removing Superman from the entirely different ethos that was born in an entirely different age, and shoe-horning his apple-pie morality and pulpiness into Snyder€™s darker, €œmore realistic€ world was never going to work. The fact that he€™s now attempting to address that fact by making the Superman sequel even more dark and weighty is just ludicrous. Like putting out a fire with more fire.
