10 Mistakes Fanboys Won’t Admit Upcoming DC Movies Have Already Made

8. Just Adding Batman

Rumour has it that Warner Bros and DC were so impressed with Ben Affleck€™s performance as Batman that they€™ve now decided that he needs to be the foundation stone for the entire DC Extended Universe. That€™s not really surprising, given the studios€™ notoriously reactive approach to film-making and the following the same trail that€™s already lead to success. But that doesn€™t mean it€™s the right idea. Not only is adding Batman to Superman to solve Man Of Steel€™s problems ridiculously short-sighted, but the suggestion that the rest of the universe will do likewise sets a dangerous precedent. Will Wonder Woman be rebranded Batman Vs Wonder Women when someone realises it€™s not going well? Are we likely to see Batman Vs Aquaman? You get the point: all adding Batman to everything does is remove the impact of the character, and run the risk of hurting him as an untouchable brand.
