10 Mistakes Fanboys Won’t Admit Upcoming DC Movies Have Already Made
6. Splitting The Fanbases
DC fans will no doubt vehemently defend the approach to the TV universe that has so far seen successes with Arrow, The Flash and - probably to a lesser extent - Gotham. That divergent direction for the small screen, after all, is notably more like the comics approach to split continuity. But, the decision to have two Flash timelines that cannot be amalgamated is just ludicrous. It closes the door on the opportunity for Arrow and all of the established DC TV universe characters to make appearances in the Cinematic Extended Universe. That means while fans can enjoy protected bubbles for their TV characters (and not have to share them), it robs the big screen films of the cross-pollination boost of those established fanbases. And when youre introducing challenging characters like Flash, Aquaman and even Wonder Woman, any assistance should be grasped with two hands.
