10 More Actors Who Visibly Hated These Movie Roles

6. Anthony Hopkins - Transformers: The Last Knight

Much like the MCU, Michael Bay's Transformers series became a big, bloated mess that spiralled wildly out of control.

Only they achieved this feat about halfway through the second film.

In the face of overwhelming common sense, the franchise soldiered on and reached its fifth instalment with 2017's The Last Knight. We'd try and explain the plot, but just accept that it was big robots smashing into each other whilst Mark Wahlberg ran around underneath them.

Let's move on.

Joining Marky Mark in the casty cast of this film was esteemed actor Sir Anthony Hopkins. He played Sir Edmund Burton, the last surviving member of a secret society with a vast knowledge of the Transformers.

Something else that was a secret to Hopkins was the plot of this film, as the Welsh actor has admitted that he had absolutely no idea what was going on.

This reflects in his performance, as Hopkins is clearly just doing his best to get through each scene. Luckily, when you're Anthony Hopkins, "doing you best" is still more than most actors could ever dream of.

At least his character died so he won't have to come back.
