10 MORE Actors You Totally Forgot Starred In Horror Movies

1992's Buffy the Vampire Slayer was DOA, failing to take what the studio wanted at the box office and receiving tepid-to-scathing reviews from the few critics who saw it. Directed by future Buffy TV series exec producer Fran Rubel Kuzui, from a script written by future Buffy TV series showrunner and head honcho Joss Whedon, the film may not have been up to much, but it almost gave one unlikely young star his first major break.

Now, Ben Affleck isn't known for horror, having done precious little in that department across his three-and-a-half-decade-long career, but early on, he was willing to try anything. And try he did.

Affleck got just one line in Buffy, in which he features as a basketball player who is shocked and disgusted by the sudden appearance of vampires on the court. Although the actor frames the story as him being 'cut from' the film, he does actually appear on camera - it's just Kuzui hated Affleck's performance so much that his line was dubbed over after the fact.

For this reason, and the sheer brevity of his role, we can all definitely be forgiven for forgetting that the Good Will Hunting star was almost hunting vamps in the same decade he picked up the first of his two Oscars.
