10 More Disturbing Scenes Cut From Comic Book Movies
1. Batman Retires After Killing A Criminal In Front Of Their Kid - The Flash
While it's never explicitly revealed during Andy Muschietti's final cut of The Flash that sped into cinemas earlier this year, the director would eventually reveal that the reason behind Michael Keaton's Batman deciding to hang up his cape and cowl before fans met him in the movie would be explained in a deleted scene.
The director would tell Indiewire's Toolkit podcast (via ComicBookMovie) that the moment was chopped out of the runtime due to pacing reasons. However, it would eventually land online when the digital version of the flick was released later down the road.
The rather awkward moment sees both Allens bickering in the back of Batman's Batwing, with 2013-Barry revealing to his counterpart that they heard a rumour the Dark Knight called it a day after killing a criminal in front of his own child - you know, just like his own parents were murdered in front of him as a boy.
And Muschietti himself would eventually confirm this was certainly a canon element of Keaton's disturbing Bat story, with this tragic 'Caped Crusader' searching for redemption during The Flash before finally finding it by getting nuts with the titular speedster 25 years on from retiring.
