10 More Disturbing Scenes Cut From Comic Book Movies
3. Ryan Reynolds & T.J. Miller Go Too Far -Deadpool
During the first solo outing for Ryan Reynolds' 'Merc with a Mouth' in 2016, both the leading man and co-star T.J. Miller wrote a scene set in a bar that apparently went "too far" for even a R-rated Deadpool movie.
Whilst talking at an LA fan event around this time, director Tim Miller would confess that the scene depicting Wade Wilson revealing his newly disfigured body to Weasel got very dark, very quickly.
The Weasel actor would confirm that the two "got more and more hateful" as they continued to improvise and go back and forth. And it actually got to the point where the director could sense that the pair were offending that many people, he simply couldn't green light those heavier and "just mean" gags in the scene.
And with Miller's improv of "you look like a trucker took a s*** on your shoulders and then shaped ears onto it," apparently being one of the "gentle" lines that didn't make the cut, you do have to wonder just how disturbing and offensive things actually got during the actors' original excessively hateful version of the exchange.
