4. Agent Strahm Doesn't Heed The Warning - Saw V
Agent Strahm is the main protagonist of Saw V. A disgraced FBI agent, he goes on a journey to prove that Detective Mark Hoffman is the new Jigsaw killer. At the beginning of the film, our protagonist seems to be doing well; performing an improvised tracheotomy during the Water Box trap but by the end of Saw V, he seems to lose all of his wits.
Strahm plays a tape meant for him but stops it shortly when he confronts Hoffman and traps him in a glass coffin. This proves unwise because longtime fans of the series know you have to listen and abide by Jigsaw's instructions in order to live.
Instead, the former agent gloats about his victory, thinking that he finally caught the killer. But then, the room locks Strahm inside and the walls start closing in. Our hero only then plays the tape and finds out that the glass coffin was meant to keep him safe and by placing someone else in it, he has basically signed his own death warrant.
Despite efforts of escaping, Agent Strahm's situation is dire as he is slowly crushed to death by the walls. Ultimately, the character was outwitted by Hoffman and lost his life in one of the most gruesome deaths in the Saw franchise.
