10 MORE Forgotten Horror Movie Scream Queens

9. Jaime King

Caroline Munro
Lionsgate

Jaime King first gained mainstream attention for her dual role as Goldie and Wendy in Sin City... However, it is arguably for her quick succession of horror movie remakes that she's best known.

King took on her first frightened role when she appeared as Samantha in David Arquette's 2006 directorial debut The Tripper. In this darkly comic slasher she battles a psychopath doing an uncanny Ronald Reagan impression.

King would immediately follow this up with the little-seen supernatural horror They Wait, delivering an impressive performance as a frantic mother in the Insidious-style tale.

However, it is for her turns in 3 separate horror movie reboots that King will most be remembered by genre fans. Beginning this unusual trend was her role as Sarah in 2009's My Bloody Valentine 3D. Here she is endlessly chased but impressively never once backs down.

Next, King would take a starring role in 2010's Mother's Day, Darren Lynn Bousman's criminally underrated retelling of the 1980 grindhouse classic. King and Rebecca De Mornay try to out-badass each other with savage beat down after savage beat down in this tense little number.

Finally King would display yet more impressive smarts and fighting skills in 2012's Silent Night, playing a cop forced to take on a flamethrower wielding Santa Claus. This would be her last genre appearance to date, which is a shame, given Jaime's talent for badassery.
