10 More Genius Ways Movies Fixed Their Own Mistakes

3. Sigourney Weaver's Blatantly Dubbed F-Bomb - Galaxy Quest

Though it ultimately ended up with a PG audience rating, legendary sci-fi parody Galaxy Quest was actually shot as an R-rated movie, before the studio enforced cuts to remove any objectionable content.

This is hilariously evident in the famous sequence where Gwen (Sigourney Weaver) and Jason (Tim Allen) end up face-to-face with the metal "chompers," and Gwen shouts, "Screw that!"

The line was actually re-dubbed in post-production, as during shooting Weaver shouted, "F**k that!," which obviously wouldn't pass muster at a PG rating.

But in a way this only made the scene even funnier, because any adult with a working pair of eyes can see what Weaver's actually mouthing here.

It was subtle enough to slide past the censors (and kids), yet noticeable enough to still be absolutely hilarious to everyone else
