10 MORE Great Horror Movies (Nobody Ever Talks About)

6. The Voices

Before Ryan Reynolds was a Hollywood star, he played the lead role in The Voices - a horror comedy revolving around a schizophrenic who chops off women's heads, and convinces himself he's dating them.

Due to Ryan Reynolds involvement and the bonkers premise, it feels like The Voices could've been a huge hit if it was released now. Unfortunately, the Deadpool actor wasn't the box office viagra he is today, which is why barely anyone noticed the release of this surreal feature, despite its positive reception.

Although most horror comedies like Zombieland or Shaun of the Dead lean more into the laughs, The Voices definitely highlights the scares a lot more. Even though Reynolds is witty, charming, and likeable, this makes it all the more horrifying when he acknowledges the heinous acts he has committed. Reynolds is as funny as you'd expect, but The Voices is also one of the few vehicles that really showcases the Canadian actor's dramatic chops.

Also, Reynolds provides the voice of a cat in a Scottish accent. What other reason do you need to give this movie a go?
