9. What Happened To Andy? - Curse Of Chucky & Cult Of Chucky

Exorcist II The Heretic

Though Chucky's original owner Andy Barclay (Alex Vincent) played a pivotal role in Child's Play I-III, the later instalments moved away from the character to focus more on Chucky's growing family. But since Andy made it out alive the last time he tussled with the diabolical Good Guy doll, fans wondered if they would ever see him again.

That's why it was reassuring to see Andy all grown up in Curse of Chucky (and still played by the same actor, Alex Vincent). Having said that, Andy's appearance felt like a gratuitous cameo since he only appeared in the film's mid-credits scene.

Fortunately, Andy plays a major role in the follow-up, Cult of Chucky. In this seventh Child's Play picture, it's revealed that Andy has kept the living head of Chucky in a vault for four years. Believing Chucky will transfer his essence to another doll if he dies, Andy thinks it's best to keep this decapitated noggin' alive forever. However, he soon learns Chucky can split his soul into multiple dolls, compelling Andy to track down the other bodies and destroy them.

Andy may have fallen off the map for a while, but it was nice to see he's one of the select few to have survived every encounter with Chucky.
