9. The Fight On The Osaka Tower - Glass

Liam Neeson The Grey
Universal Pictures

Glass serves as the final chapter of M. Night Shyamlan's Split/Unbreakable trilogy, with three superbeings, Elijah Price, David Dunn, and Kevin Wendell Crumb forced into a lethal conflict.

While institutionalised, Elijah alerts David he intends to expose superpowered humans to the world by showcasing Kevin's inhuman strength at the newly opened Osaka Tower. To ensure Kevin's superpowers get as much media attention as possible, Elijah intends to blow up a chemical lab in the building, which should result in the death of thousands.

Now, comic books play a huge part in the story, so it's assumed Glass will conclude with a traditional superhero/supervillain showdown, especially after Elijah emphasised his over-the-top scheme. Fortunately, David manages to foil Elijah's plan before it comes to fruition.

Or so it seems. In the final moments, it's revealed Elijah never intended to carry out his plan. In reality, he mislead David so he would escape the institution and fight Kevin in front of the building's security cameras, exposing their superpowers to the world.

Though Elijah accomplished his goal, the way he went about it wasn't as theatrical or grandiose as he suggested.
