10 More Horror Movie Reveals So Bad You Almost Walked Out
9. Wolf Man
The Wolf Man mightn't have the same level of popularity as Dracula or The Mummy, but the horror community was still intrigued by the 2025 reboot.
The project generated a lot of buzz, considering it was helmed by the co-creator of Saw and Insidious, Leigh Whannell. The Invisible Man reboot proved Whannell's talents at modernising a Universal Monster property, so The Wolf Man was expected to be another bonafide success.
Sadly, Whannell's creativity rarely feature in this dull reimagining. When the protagonist, Blake Lovell, finally transforms into a werewolf, it's hard not to think, "That's it?" This design is so lacklustre, it barely resembles a werewolf at all. If anything, Blake seems to be suffering from a terrible skin condition. 1941's The Wolf Man is dated by today's standards, but at least the titular character looks like a werewolf.
When Blake's fingernails pop off and his limbs distort during the third act, you expect to see him truly embrace his inner animal. Instead, his final form is almost identical to his initial transformation, to the point where you wonder why the filmmakers teased it in the first place.
