10 More Horror Movies That Had TWO Incredible Villains

1. Longlegs & Ruth Harker - Longlegs

The marketing for Longlegs quite ingeniously focused on the mystery surrounding Nicolas Cage's terrifying titular serial killer, with Cage's skin-crawlingly unsettling performance making the most of his scant screen time throughout Osgood Perkins' moody horror-thriller.

And while audiences were led to believe that Longlegs would be the film's only antagonist, in a surprise twist he actually kills himself ahead of the third act, prior to the genuine shock revelation that FBI agent Lee's (Maika Monroe) mother Ruth (Alicia Witt) has been his accomplice for decades in exchange for him sparing Lee.

This twist could've certainly come off as contrived, yet Alicia Witt's unsettling turn as a mother desperate to protect her child at any cost makes it intensely, uncommonly effective.

Cage clearly would've been plenty villain for one movie, but Perkins decided to split antagonist duties and in turn gave us two blood-chilling villains for the price of admission.
