2. Genesis & Bel - Knock Knock
Love it or hate it, Eli Roth's Knock Knock benefits enormously from its unforgettable villainous duo - Genesis (Lorenza Izzo) and Bel (Ana de Armas), the sexy twosome who knock on Evan's (Keanu Reeves) door on one rainy night and quickly insinuate themselves into his life with dire circumstances.
Genesis and Bel are one hell of a sick duo, whose central preoccupation involves seducing married men, torturing and assaulting them, and then revealing their infidelity to their families.
That's just the tip of their destructive acts, though, and it's clear that Genesis and Bel are far from the moral crusaders they half-heartedly paint themselves as - they're straight-up twisted, and seemingly get away to do it all over again to somebody else.
Izzo and de Armas give starmaking performances as the pair, enough that even if you find Roth's brand of lurid horror too obnoxious to sit through, it's tough not to be captivated by their daring, provocative work.
