10 More Insane Movie Theories That Actually Make Sense

9. Daniel Craig Is The Original - James Bond

When Skyfall released in 2012, it debunked a long-standing theory that the name James Bond, like the codename 007, was just an alias used by different agents. When Bond visited the graves of his parents, the name Bond on the headstones immediately put an end to such theories. Or did it?

The theory could still work, it would just require a tweak or two regarding the timeline, as explained by a commenter on this Reddit thread. Instead of Sean Connery, the first James Bond was actually Daniel Craig's iteration.

This is supported by the fact that Casino Royale was Ian Fleming's first novel, and that his debut outing as the character showed him earning his license to kill, and meeting M, Q, and Moneypenny for the first time.

After his death in No Time To Die, the Skyfall Lodge is rebuilt as something of a training centre, where new agents are trained to take over the Bond name when the current one dies, each one believing that they are the only James Bond. The name would continue on as an alias as something of an homage to the original legendary agent, and keep the famous code name theory alive.
