10 More Most Unintentionally Hilarious Movie Deaths

9. Lawnmower Death: Not Just A Band - The Happening

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SPQG5m_Qpso M. Night Shyamalan may be the worst and most astonishing example of a supposedly talented filmmaker losing it. In fact, not only has he lost it, but €˜it€™ then rolled away downhill, burst into flames, dropped off a cliff into the ocean and was fought over by clownfish. The Happening (2008) is a bad, bad film. It€™s easily the worst thing that Zooey Deschanel has ever had a hand in, and she was married to the guy out of Death Cab For Cutie. Realistically, you could make a case that the entire film is a cringeworthy moment, as you try to reconcile this artless cavalcade of dog biscuits having been written and directed by the guy who made The Sixth Sense€ but there€™s one scene in particular that retroactively transforms this leaden, po-faced hackfest into an hilarious cheese-piece of epic proportions. The premise of this gaping crudbasket of a film is that the plants are revolting against humanity, and have designed an airborne toxin that makes people commit suicide. Yes, you read that correctly. This leads Shyamalan to believe that he can get away with some of the most ridiculous scenes of prop and animal assisted suicide ever recorded in the name of entertainment, the very nadir of which is when one of the afflicted lies down in front of a vehicular lawn mower and is ripped to pieces. Mark Wahlberg€™s expression says it all. It€™s the harrowed look of a man who actually takes comfort in the fact that his next film is Max Payne.
