OK, now this one's really funny.

Can you even remotely blame Jeff Goldblum for goofing around on the set of The Lost World - or, if you want to be less-generous to him, failing to operate a pair of binoculars.

Despite his Dr. Ian Malcolm being a genius mathematician, shortly after he arrives on Isla Sorna he picks up Eddie Carr's (Richard Schiff) binoculars to look at the arriving InGen fleet, yet is actually hilarious holding them to his face backwards.

In reality this would only make the choppers look further away and certainly ensure he couldn't spot the InGen logo on them, yet the film itself suggests that Malcolm is indeed operating the binoculars as intended.

One can't put it past Goldblum for seeing what he could get away with here and accidentally getting a minor prank into the final cut of the movie, but at the same time it's entirely possible he just fumbled picking up the binoculars and ran with it.
