10 More Movie Moments Everyone Was Waiting For (That Never Happened)

6. Another Flash - The Flash

Just like Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and likely Deadpool 3 as the threequel gets closer to release, there were a lot of expectations for cameos in The Flash. It's the nature of the multiverse that allows expectations of different character iterations you wouldn't normally see in a franchise.

In terms of The Flash, there were plenty of these cameos, from Batmen to Supermen, Supergirls, and more. There was also Jay Garrick's version of the titular character, though there was another expected Flash cameo that just never materialised.

Not only were there stories reporting Grant Gustin would appear in Andy Muschietti's movie, reprising his role as the CW's Barry Allen, the fact that Ezra Miller had previously cameoed in Gustin's TV show fuelled these fires. Surely this would have been much harder to pull off than the other way around, right? Then there is the fact that the actor himself flat-out denied the rumours, which thanks to Andrew Garfield's lies about appearing in No Way Home almost acted as confirmation for some.

However, the moment never came. Barry Allen did come across multiple other Barry Allens that looked exactly like him, but none that looked like Grant Gustin. It almost happened, but not quite.
