10 More Movie Post-Credits Scenes That Went Absolutely Nowhere

6. The Silver Surfer Survived - Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer

Chances are, when you think about Tim Story's Fantastic Four sequel, you think about how the movie took one of the most beloved villains of Marvel's first family, and relegated him to being nothing more than a faceless cloud. However, believe it or not, there was more to the movie than the injustice done to Galactus.

This writer isn't talking about the wedding of Reed and Sue, but instead the appearance of the Silver Surfer. Norrin Radd was actually a very enjoyable aspect of this sequel, serving as something of a conflicted villain with a strong redemption arc.

By the end of the movie, in spite of being the one that heralded Galactus to Earth in the first place, the Silver Surfer heads out into space to fight the Devourer of Worlds. To save the world, he destroyed Galactus, but in doing so made the ultimate sacrifice.

Yet, after just a few credits rolled across the screen, the image was shown of Norrin floating through space, opening his eyes just before he left the shot. The plan was to produce a spin-off focused around the Silver Surfer, but like any potential Fantastic Four sequels, it was killed by the poor box office return from Rise of the Silver Surfer, and of course the emergence of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
