10 More Movies That Accidentally Filmed Things You Weren't Supposed To See
5. Camera Crew - Shazam!
Back when it released in 2019, Shazam! felt like a refreshing new direction for the DCEU, focusing on a more light-hearted tone instead of the darker, broodier side of the franchise. However, looking back it could be described as little more than forgettable, something that in fairness would have still been too kind for most of DC's output at the time.
There aren't particularly many scenes, if any, that stand out as special in Shazam!, and the less said about the sequel the better, though there is one moment of genius that came from behind the camera thanks to a complete dropping of the ball in front of it.
During Shazam's (Zachary Levi) fight with Dr. Sivana (Mark Strong) in the shopping mall, as the titular hero is flying away, a group of people can be seen just standing still on the right of the screen while everyone else is running from the commotion (2:31 below). They are standing perfectly still because they are actually crew members who weren't supposed to be part of the scene.
Director David F. Sandberg apparently caught them during post-production and was able to edit the shot so as to make them blend in with the scene a little more, though the fact that they don't move in the face of a supervillain is a little jarring.
