10 More Movies Where The Reshoots Were Painfully Obvious

Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace had enough problems without Ewan McGregor's hairpiece adding continuity errors into the mix, but George Lucas's decision to shoot a bunch of new scenes months down the line only gave the prequel's critics extra ammunition to fire his way.

Since principal production on the movie wrapped, McGregor had moved onto Rogue Trader. He gained a few pounds and changed his hair to look more like fraudster Nick Leeson, the subject of the biopic.

This was problematic for The Phantom Menace because Lucas shot more than a few extra scenes for the film, and they required the Obi-Wan star to wear a wig to match the original hairstyle he had sported in character.

Unfortunately for the Star Wars saga, it's obvious which scenes feature the wig-wearing McGregor. This is most apparent during the sequence on Tatooine where Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan are discussing the possibility of training Anakin as a Jedi. In this scene, Obi-Wan's braid is on the left side of his head, while it should be on the right.

McGregor's weight fluctuation is also apparent in the final cut, though it's not as noticeable as that hairpiece.
