4. The Death Of Ben Tramer - Halloween II

In John Carpenter's Halloween, Ben Tramer was nothing more than a character mentioned in passing by Laurie Strode. Come Halloween II, however, the young man would be the centerpiece of the sequel's unintentionally hilarious scene.

It starts off with Sheriff Brackett and Dr. Loomis who continue their pursuit of Michael Myers. When they see a man wearing the familiar overalls and a similar-looking mask, the good doctor tries to shoot the figure. In the ensuing chaos, the man is then rammed by a nearby cop car which causes an explosion that burns him to death. Brackett then asks Loomis if it was Michael (as if the doctor could tell the identity of a burning corpse). It is later revealed, however, that it was Ben Tramer who was killed, sadly at the wrong place, at the wrong time.

There are a lot of things comedic about the scene. The first is the sheer coincidence that someone would be wearing the exact costume Michael Myers wears. The second is the high-speed car that rams Ben out of nowhere. And the third is the fact that Haddonfield police just kills an innocent teenager by accident and walks away like nothing happened.
