Texas Chainsaw 3D focuses on a young woman named Heather who returns to her grandmother's home to collect her inheritance. She soon finds out, however, that she is the heir to a dangerous legacy.

The film reveals that Heather is the long-lost member of the Sawyer Family, the cannibalistic clan that was wiped out by Mayor Burt Hartman years prior. This makes her the cousin of Jedidiah Sawyer AKA Leatherface. When Hartman finds out about her lineage he decides to have her killed, which forces Heather to team up with the infamous slasher in the movie's final moments. And, as she gains the upper hand on her tormentor, she even hands Leatherface his trademark chainsaw to finish the job, before uttering the line, 'Do your thing, cuz.'

Not only is it the dumbest line in the movie, but it also makes no sense why Heather would team up with the man who killed her friends moments earlier even with the circumstances.

Turning Leatherface into an anti-hero remains one of the most baffling decisions ever made in the franchise with Heather's line serving as the cherry on top. Thankfully, like all the sequels before it, Texas Chainsaw 3D would be ignored by the succeeding films.
