From the people who brought you 2012's superb and still underrated sci-fi/ psychological horror/ drama mash up Resolution, Aaron Moorehead and Justin Benson's 2017 follow up didn't disappoint those expecting more genre blending madness from the pair.

This trippy cult movie from the makers of 2014's Lovecraftian romantic drama (yes, you read that right) Spring takes some work to unpack, but you'd never know it from the initially simple story of two brothers visiting a cult of which they were once members.

However, once the flick takes a sojourn to the desert, the film takes a turn which makes Midsommar look like... some movie with a relatively harmless cult, and the story begins to twist in on itself, taking its characters to some bizarre and unexpected places.
