7. The Jangly Man - Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark

Based on Alvin Schwartz's book series of the same name, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark revolves around a group of children who accidentally unleash a demonic force upon their town. As they try to return everything to normal, the ensemble finds themselves targeted by a batch of haunting creatures, including Harold The Scarecrow, The Pale Lady, The Toe Ghoul, and those frickin' skin-burrowing spiders. (Still have nightmares over that last one.)

And who could forget about the final monster, the Jangly Man? Firstly, there's no conventional way to harm this zombified creature. The revenant is repeatedly shot point-blank in the face without him suffering any harm.

But that's not all. It's nearly impossible to hide from Jangly since he can contort his body and stretch his limbs, allowing him to slide through the tiniest openings. Even if he comes across an opening he's too big for, he can split himself apart and slide each body part through before reassembling.

On paper, a horror version of Stretch Armstrong doesn't sound particularly frightening. However, there's no doubt the Jangly Man is pure nightmare fuel, thanks to his unique ability.
