8 More Star Wars "Plot Holes" That Really Aren't

It's safe to say that the return of one Jedi Master in the latest Disney+ live-action Star Wars series did not go unnoticed.

And we're not talking about the pointy-eared icon.

The arrival of Ki-Adi-Mundi in Episode Four "Day" in The Acolyte left some fans scratching their own - not quite as long - heads, however, with many suggesting that his mere presence was a plot hole.

In their minds, the Jedi Master's age was retconned here as the figure who died not long after Order 66 was first executed wouldn't have even been born based on what fans knew of the character.

At the time of Episode I - The Phantom Menace, it was said that Ki-Adi-Mundi was about 60-years-old. So, with The Acolyte being set 100 years before that movie, you can see the problem.

But this apparent "plot hole" is ignoring the fact that said age was only ever made official in the Legends continuity through things like CD-ROMs - his birthdate being 93 BBY in the Expanded Universe.

In the new Canon, though, Ki-Adi-Mundi's age has never been specified. And it's not that tough to accept that this Jedi Master was just one of the many Jedi Council members who were hundreds of years old - like Yoda, Yaddle, Yarrel Poof, and Oppo Rancisis - by the time of the prequels.
