It takes a special performance and actor to stand out in a flick boasting not just the star-studded cast of the prequel series of X-Men flicks, but also the OG collection of iconic cinematic mutants. Yet, in Evan Peters' utterly joyous showing in X-Men: Days of Future Past, you had precisely that and then some.

Popping up in a number of the best scenes the epic multi-generational mutant outing had to offer, the star's Quicksilver made quite the impact during his brief time on-screen.

On top of a fun exchange involving Peter Maximoff conversing with Wolverine, Charles Xavier, and Hank McCoy in his mom's basement, all whilst darting between ping-pong and video games, the silver-haired legend's part in helping Magneto escape the Pentagon is up there with the finest superhero scenes of all time.

With time brilliantly and magnificently slowed down as Quicksilver dashes around a kitchen and defuses the perilous situation, Peters' charm and hilarious indifference effortlessly exudes out of every pore. And his marvellous performance in general soon became the one most people simply couldn't get enough of heading out of the well-received feature.

So, it's just a shame that Evan Peters' shining work in Days of Future Past was followed up with a few rather forgettable showings in the subsequent sequels/prequels.
