Luke Evans and Haley Bennett played an apparently "ideal" couple in this thriller based on Paula Hawkins' popular mystery novel, and naturally, that led to them having a number of on-screen trysts throughout the film.

Evans said of filming the scenes, "When we were having sex, we were drunk—boy and girl drunk...I thought we should have a little drink just to take the edge off...We were tipsy...We were show-tunes-singing-drunk while having fake sex. We sang Lion King."

The pair's sizzling dalliances certainly satisfied the film's trashy, "book club movie" tone, and Evans couldn't speak more highly of his screen lover. "It's not a comfortable situation, but it also depends on the other person. Haley's a true professional. She threw herself into it, as did I."
