In a place like Gotham City full of scumbags, it takes something special to stand out, but thats just what corrupt Detective Arnold Flass managed to do. Having to watch the young Jim Gordon deal with his uncivilized partner was enough to make your skin crawl. Audiences were practically begging Gordon to yell at him or punch him but then realize theres nothing that he can do. The real standout moment for Flass is when he hassles a street vendor selling falafels. Pilfering money out of his tip jar and mocking him while he does it, Flass is someone you just want off the screen for good, and thankfully, that's what Batman is there for. Of course, like any henchman worth his salt, Flass talks a big game but fails to back it up. When interrogated by Batman he immediately caves, showing his true colours. Flass is a different kind of annoyance, and its clear how liberating it is when Gordon finally gets free of him.
