10 Most Annoying Little Inconsistencies In MCU History

9. Thor's Helmet

As the fourth ever hero introduced to the MCU, and one of the six original Avengers, Thor is without question one of the most iconic, and most popular characters the franchise can boast today, and is certainly one of the most instantly recognisable.

Thor’s very first scene in the Marvel Cinematic Universe saw him at his coronation where he was to become King of Asgard. As befit such a ceremony, he wore his best garb, including his battle helmet that was such an important part of his aesthetic in the comics.

He never wore this particular helmet again throughout the MCU, but six years later, it was seen in Spider-Man: Homecoming. As a group of would-be thieves tried to rob a bank, they concealed their faces with Avengers masks, with Thor’s depicting the God of Thunder wearing his helmet.

The problem with this? At this point, Thor had been to Earth four times before. He was there when he fought the Destroyer, when the Avengers fought Loki, when he fought Malekith in London, and when the Avengers fought Ultron. At no point during any of his time on Earth did he don his helmet, so how would anyone manufacturing a mask know to put it on him?
