4. Polaroid
This movie is about as cursed as its titular camera. With an original release date of 2018, Polaroid has been knocked back more than once when it comes to securing its time on screen - but rumour has it Netflix has saved the day and will be bringing the film to its streaming services sometime this year. Telling the tale of a haunted polaroid camera, taking a photo with the device seems to condemn the subject to death - as a murderous shadow hops between frames to take victims from within the photo.
Attempting to destroy the photo has the same effect on those within it too, with the trailer showing a burning photograph results in a burning human. Not ideal, really.
With the film boasting the same producers as the excellent western adaptations of The Ring and The Grudge, and with Lars Klevberg's own short story inspiring the cinematic adaptation, Polaroid looks to be a well put-together little spooky movie which would be a shame to get lost in the system. Hopefully we'll see an announcement for it's debut on Netflix sometime soon.
