9. Rebel Moon - Part Two: The Scargiver

Another cheek-chewer of a title, the follow up to Zack Snyder's ex-Star Wars, Netflix space opera Rebel Moon - Part Two: The Scargiver has been on the cards for a 2024 release for some time, following the announcement in 2022 that there would be two films, and then in 2023 that there would be three. We love Snyder, but let's just pray he doesn't alter it any further.
Having just dropped direct to Netflix, the first film has had a shaky start, with critics rallying many of the usual criticisms of Snyder's work (and a few new ones), but this hasn't dimmed prospects for the sequel, nor fans' dedication to the director's work.
Part 2 promises a similarly grand and exotic array of planets and technology, with a large, high-stakes battle at its centre that you can bet will make full use of Snyder's idiosyncratic CG style. Not only that, but the mixed cast of new and old talent - including Cary Elwes and the criminally underrated Djimon Hounsou - will be returning in full force.
