10 Most Anxiety-Inducing Horror Movie Scenes EVER

I mentioned the needle pit in Saw 2 earlier in this list since most could appreciate a horrible, common phobia being exploited to an unbearably stressful degree - so it's only fair that another scarring scene for those struggling with their fears gets its own mention too. And the clue is in the title: Arachnophobia.

I'm going to assume most will be familiar with the ghastly shower scene, but for those uninitiated, prepare to be itchy all over for the rest of your life.

As a young woman takes a shower and rather unconvincingly fiddles with the back of her head, a gigantic spider makes its way across the shower rod, zeroing in on her face as she washes her hair in the shower stream. This is to say nothing of the spider in the toilet thing happening simultaneously either, which is a whole chest-rattling beast of its own.

Just when the stress of a spider voyeur becomes too much, our dear eight legged shower pal makes its move, and jumps right onto her forehead. Washed away by fortunate timing as she tilts back, the spider slips down her body before being discovered at her feet, resulting in justified, blood-curdling screams a plenty. And that's just from the audience.
