10 Most Bad-Ass Batman Movie Moments
Who thought watching the Bat break would be so brilliant?
There's a reason Batman endures as a cinematic character. Despite countless mistakes and near-misses of potentially catastrophic impact over the almost 75 years he's been on the big screen, the Dark Knight gets up, dusts himself off and continues to delight fans.
He exists on another plane entirely to most film characters - up there with the likes of Darth Vader, Indiana Jones, James Bond and Freddy Krueger as bankable brands that will define Hollywood long after every gimmick and fad has faded to dust. And most of that boils down to him just being Batman.
Over those cinematic decades, several hugely talented film-makers have turned their hands to living up to his star billing, with some achievements in his name that deservedly stand up not only as some of the greatest comic book genre moments, but the greatest movie moments of all time. And the best of it is, they remind us precisely why we all love the Caped Crusader so dearly.
Somewhat unsurprisingly, there aren't too many claims to greatness from Joel Schumacher's movies (though the Riddler Batcave attack is great fun) or from the 1969 Batman movie. Nobody in their right mind would ever claim that Batman v shark sequence was anything other than horrific.
So what made the cut?
